During the fall of third-year, we were tasked with selecting and researching a social issue that stuck out to us and produce an infographic that visually communicates our research so it can be told and easily understood by others. My topic was the severe slums in the Philippines, and the government’s futile attempts to relocate the residents in these slums to rural areas where they struggle to make a living. It is a topic that is close to me, and one that I felt needed more light shined on it. 

The goals of this project include:
-Organize an effective layout that can visually communicate my research and findings, while still being able to tell a story to readers that they can easily understand

-Utilize imagery to further strenghten my story and provide readers a better picture of what is truly occurring in these areas.

-Shine light on a topic that I am very passionate about, as I get to witness it firsthand everytime I visit family back home.
